Best Article Marketing - 3 Keys to Article Marketing

Article marketing is the best way to increase sales, visitors, and traffic over to a website. It is very important to acknowledge the fact that when in the internet, information offers many opportunities available to you. Here are 3 keys to article marketing:

1. The most important thing in an article is the content. The information written in the article must answer the questions that your viewers will possibly ask concerning a product that they are interested in. Most often, increase in sales and site promotions are contributed to well-made articles. Also, releasing your article about your product at the right time is a sound strategy. Example is release your winter-used product before the coming of winter.

2. One article is never enough to draw a crowd of prospective customers. It is advisable than when going into article marketing to promote your product or your site, it is always a good choice to make more than one article regarding a certain topic. You could also put some variety in your different articles by using an assortment of approach. An example is if one of your articles is purely informative, you can make another article that is more on promoting and sales.

3. When your articles are done, spread them around. You can scout around the internet for sites where you can place links to your articles, especially sites with more traffic and visitors. Also, subscribing to a search engine is the best way to make your articles reach as many readers as possible, giving you enough elbow room in gaining enough viewers to be interested in your own product through your articles. In addition, you can subscribe to sites which offer free postings for your articles like blogs and social networking sites. This way, you are opening different doors for your own business.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 3 Easy Steps to Amplify Your Article Marketing

Building trust among your target market is one of the crucial elements to succeed online as people only transact with entrepreneurs whom they find trustworthy. Among the available marketing tools in the internet today, only few of them allows you to showcase your expertise so you can easily earn the trust of online users. One of them is article marketing. This is the process of writing and distributing your articles online to give your readers what they want - information and to build quality inbound links for your website to improve your search engine ranking.

1. Choose your topics wisely. Not all kinds of articles will give you the type of traffic you need. Only those that are highly relevant to your products and the industry to which you belong to. So, focus on writing articles about your offerings and about your target niche so you can drive interested people to your website.

2. Make use of attention-grabbing titles. Promoting your articles online begin with getting online users to take interest on your copies. This can be done by using titles that are striking and truly compelling. Make sure that your titles are short, snappy, intriguing, well thought-out, and communicate the benefits that your content can offer to boost your clickthrough rate.

3. Submit only quality articles. Some article marketers think that as long as they submit articles, regardless of their quality, will succeed on this field as they will increase their inbound links. This is but plain wrong. The quality of your articles is the most important element in this marketing strategy. When people open your articles and they don't find anything interesting in it, they will close it and move to the next article. Yes, they will not click on your resource box and you can never convert them to potential clients.

Article Marketing - Getting A Surge Of Ideas On To Write About

Article Marketing is one of the best ways to generate traffic to a website. However, the most difficult part is coming up with a topic for an article on a regular basis. That's where most people stop and don't get things done. Whether you're writing the articles yourself or hiring a ghostwriter to do it for you, you must know what topics you're going to write about. Here's how you can overcome the "writer's block".

The secret is to read information on various sources and keep a note of any ideas you have for writing an article. There are thousands of resources on the internet which you can read on your niche.

To find existing content, you can visit several ezine directories which are well respected. EzineArticles and GoArticles for instance have quality articles which you can read on. Technorati is also an excellent resource for getting ideas and learning about your niche. It has the latest updates of blogs which you can search for within your market.

Read through many of the article titles and choose the ones you like. Then think of the titles for your own articles and write them down using the notepad program in Windows.

If you spend an hour or two doing this exercise, you'll have over 50 topics to write about by looking through the article title and the ideas you have written for each title.

As well as looking through these free resources, you can also get ideas elsewhere which tell you they are "in-demand" and that people want to know more about. Writing about what people want to know about is the smartest thing you can do.

1. Amazon.com

Go to Amazon.com and to the Books section. Search for your keywords and you will see a list of books that are ranked in order of popularity. Read the descriptions of the books and find out why they're popular. People buy the books for a reason. Concentrate on writing articles for topics that are "hot".

2. Clickbank.com

Go to Clickbank and visit the MarketPlace section. http://www.clickbank.com/marketplace Go to the category which your niche is related to and look at the top products which are selling well. Again, these are products which are "in-demand" and people are interested in the information. Go to the sales page of these products and get ideas from them. Look at the bullet points and the features/benefits of their products and write about each one of them.

3. Forums.

Go to forums which are related to your niche and look for threads which have lots of recent replies to them. Find out and see if the post is about a certain topic in your niche which the community wants to know more about.

Using this system, you'll never have a shortage of what to write about. If there's something new with your niche that you don't know about then read up on it and write an article in your own words on the new thing which you've learnt.

Now go through the list you've written on your notepad one by one and start writing your articles.

Viral Marketing - 6 Astonishing Viral Marketing Strategies That Will Get the Word Out Quickly

Viral marketing or some may refer to it as buzz marketing, provides some of the most amazing results to almost any online business, products or services. It is a vast source of "one-way" links, sales leads and targeted website traffic. Surprisingly, several marketers are either not familiar with these particular strategies or do not recognize their capabilities or are not taking complete advantage of what they call the "viral factor" in their online marketing efforts.

Viral marketing pertains to the method of giving away something for free then allowing individuals to distribute or send it out to others. Viral marketing's main purpose is to circulate your message or promotion to as various individuals as possible yet not spending any money for promotion or advertising. Although a very profound marketing tool, this method is probably the least used by many marketers online.

Generally, viral marketing strategies can be utilized by any online business or web site, be it small or big. Any online marketer can use such strategies provided that they are willing to devote some time to set up certain criteria to become positioned effectively. Viral marketing strategies done the right way will produce numerous benefits.

Simply put, the basic concept of all viral marketing strategies is to include a freebie in your ad that people can use or giveaway. The best benefits of viral marketing are:

* Increase link popularity

* Increase or improves targeted traffic

* Builds brand recognition

* Generates targeted leads

* Automates marketing efforts

With that said, here are 6 astonishing viral marketing strategies that will get the word out quickly about your business, product, or service.

1. Writing articles with a resource box. Write articles pertaining to your service or products. Allow your recipients to reprint or copy your articles in their newsletter, website, ezines, magazine or e-books. Your article must include or display your "resource box" as well as the option for reprints of articles at the bottom.

2. Using forums and discussion boards. When you are capable of setting up a bulletin board or a forum, then you actually have a very effective marketing tool. You can invite and permit online users to utilize your "discussion board" on their website since many internet users do not have these tools. 3. Providing free website. When you are making use of a "dedicated server", you are able to permit internet users to register for a web site for free on your own server. And because you gave away some space, you can oblige them or demand that they display your "banner ad" at the uppermost potion of their site.

4. Distributing free software. Permit your website visitors to distribute your software for free. Simply include your online business ad within the software. The internet provides numerous available tools that permit you to "brand" your software with messages and your contact information.

You can pay for the rights and then you have your own software for free! Or, there are programs available that permits you to make your very own software. Just search the internet!

5. Offering free graphics, banners, templates, etc. If you have the skill and talent for web design, then you can be able to make graphics, templates, banners etc., upload all to your website and allow your visitors to pass on your fonts, graphics, templates, banners etc., for free, of course. Simply display your ad onto your designs or oblige recipients that they "link directly" to your site. Also be certain that you incorporate a "link back" to your website in your "copyright notice" and oblige your recipients to hold intact your "copyright notice".

6. Free redirect service. Permit your web visitors to impart your "free online service" to their visitors, web site, e-zine or newsletter subscribers. It can be a free e-mail, "search engine submissions", e-mail consulting, etc. Let your imagination soar and think of things that you can offer for free.

Keep in mind that your marketing message that will be relayed or transmitted by any type of viral strategy should be brief and clear; likewise it should be simple for your visitor to obtain your free offer.

In the same way each free item should carry a very simple course through which a recipient is able to inform his links or friends about it, in order that they also can obtain your free offer and simultaneously be able to view your message then supply you with their email address and names.

Viral marketing strategies are very powerful marketing tools; however, these are tools that are required to be carefully used with substantial thought. When you are offering something for free, note that it needs to be of good quality, of good value, and targets the needs of your prospects.

Essential Article Marketing Guide

These are the absolutely imperative items you must include in your bio box:

Authors Name: its absolutely amazing how many people forget to put their name in this box, this should be the very first thing you actually write

The website url: you must put in the website address for the product or service you are selling, for example, http://www.veretekmarketing.co.uk

An Elevator Pitch: this is where you put you USP (unique selling point), the main benefits to the product or service you are selling o A Call To Action: This is where you have to get your reader / prospect to do something, i.e. go to your website a buy from you.

Below are some extra items you are welcome to include in your bio box

Your business Contact Information: Such as your business phone number or how to reach you for interviews or your press/media kit. Keep in mind that article marketing is a timeless strategy and you may not have an easy ability to retract what you put in your article once it hits major distribution.

A Free Report: offer something free to the reader / prospect, this will entice them further to go to your website and BUY!

An anchor URL that is related to one keyword or the keyword phrase that you would like to build SEO strength for. Example: if I wanted to build search engine relevance/strength for the term "Article Marketing," I'd link up that term in my resource box to my website. This is an intermediate to advanced level strategy and should not be abused by over-doing it. Keep it simple.

A few things you definitely should not include in your bio box:

Listing every single website that you own, this will seriously decrease any credibility that you may have spent time building up.

Telling your reader / prospect about every major accomplishment you have made, to be quite frank the reader / prospect does not care!

Never advertise products or services that aren't related to the topic / article you are writing about.

As a general rule of the thumb your bio box should not exceed more than 20% of the article its self, all too often authors make their bio box up t 50% of their article

My final conclusion to your bio box:

When writing your article remember the main body of it is where you get to "give" information to your reader / prospect, the bio box is where you will get to "take" information from your reader / prospect.

Defining Your Online Business Goals Will Lead To Web Success

So you are ready to start (or enhance) your online business. Running a business on the web is no different than running it offline. Once you have an idea in mind, determine your business model, write your business plan and establish your:

* Goals and Objectives

* Services and products

* Unique selling proposition

* Expected ROI and how to achieve it

* Branding

* Marketing and promotional efforts

* Competition

* Budget

Now you are ready to try this online. Before you hire a web developer you need to define the purpose of your website. Start with the selection of a domain name that represents your product and services. A URL address is where your business branding starts. Your name will be your identity and how you will be known in the web world.

Your next task is to determine keywords for your site. This is your first form of online advertising. Keywords can determine what your products are and even where your business is geographically located and of course, how you will be searched.

Next you are ready to build the site. It is essential that your site is optimized for the search engines. Choose a webmaster that understands the main components of search engine optimization and direct response web development. Your objective should be to make your website organically searchable (rankings on the free side of Google) and designed to increase your conversion rate by having visitors take action.

Your site should be attractive to viewers and it should also offer incentives and take-a-ways to keep them on your pages or to guide them to your conversion pages. Always keep your branding in mind. Visitors can return to your site up to six times before they make a decision so you want them to remember your identity, your unique features and benefits and ways to bookmark or download a free report to keep your branding on their desktop.

A certain amount of your hits must have a desired outcome. Whether it's to buy a product, fill out a form, or perform any other desired action (click on an advertisement or stay on the site for a specified period of time). Increased conversion rates turn more visitors into customers. And if the site is designed correctly, instead of leaving your site, visitors will stay and find the information they want. And of course you want more return business. Draw your customers back to your site with newsletters, special offers, and other campaigns that will dramatically increase your back end sales.

Once the site is built or rebuilt (if an existing site is not working up to expectations) and optimized for search engines, the next critical step is Search Engine Marketing (SEM). The purpose of SEM is to create a continual and increased flow of traffic to your main website. Simply put, the more visitors and more page views, the more opportunity make a sale and increase your profits. Sometimes known as off page marketing, SEM is often the forgotten child of marketing. Budgeting for this area is essential. To be successful online requires implementing SEM strategies and techniques that include online PR, blog, Pay Per Click, niche micro sites, social media networking, building and communicating with your email list; submitting to directories, search engines and local search, special offers, e-zines and viral marketing.

Another key component of a marketing mix is to constantly review your statistics. Analytics help take the guesswork out of a website's effectiveness and is hard concrete evidence if a page or promotion is working. Testing and tracking, tweaking your content, updating keywords, doing A / B testing of a promotion or webpage will give you a flow of marketing information based upon visitors behavior that is invaluable.

Often times your competition can unwittingly help you succeed. By analyzing how they conduct business online, where they are spread on the Internet, the effectiveness of their site (choose only those that rank high on Google), how they are branded, positioned and selling - will tell you a lot about your improving your online business.

And finally, you need to budget for success. Do not put all your eggs in one basket (i.e. building a beauty site with little else to support it). Traffic is the life-blood of any website. That is why Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) should be a focal point in any marketing plan if you want to succeed on the Internet.

Profitable Article Marketing - Latest 4 Amazing New Steps to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the most powerful forms of website promotion especially if you are on a tight budget. If you are decided to use this technique to make your website more popular, establish yourself as an expert on you chosen niche, increase your sales potential, pull up your search engine ranking, and augment your profits, these 4 amazing new steps can help you jumpstart your marketing efforts:

1. Avoid blatant advertisements. This is the common mistake of new marketers. They provide little information about their topics and they talk so much about the features and benefits of their products. This will not in any way help you boost your sales potentials. Why? Publishers do not want to publish articles that sound more like a sales letter because people find them annoying. Besides, your articles must be able to educate and impart knowledge to your potential clients so they will be read and republished by other online users.

2. Do not include links on your articles. If you want to increase your chances of publication, you must make sure that your articles are free from hyperlinks. Publishers will only allow you to insert URL or anchor texts on your resource box.

3. Avoid spelling and grammar errors. If you would like to create a good impression online, you must care to provide articles that are error-free. This will strengthen your credibility and your professionalism.

4. Avoid too much hype on your resource box. While you are allowed to insert URLs on this part, you must not make it sound like an advert. It should only contain your name, your expertise, and your URL. Keep it short, compelling, catchy, and intriguing so you can effectively drive readers to your website.

Incredible Article Marketing Case Study - Brain Picking Secrets That I Have Learned

Article marketing is one of my favourite methods of traffic generation. The reason for this is that it generates the highest quality lead possible.

I have just noticed that I have written over 580 articles. These have created 58,000 page views, 4510 url clicks to my squeeze page and been published 2,500 times. These are really amazing statistics and I have just gotten going with my article marketing efforts.

In this article I would like to go through the lessons that I have learned from this. When I first started out I was not so sure what to expect from article marketing.

The one most valuable lesson that I have learned from all of this is that it takes time to develop skill. I remember when I started out I really was terrible at writing. As I continually did this I gradually improved. Over time you get better and better. However, when you first start out it will seem like a very big hurdle that you need to climb.

The biggest disappoint about this method of promoting your website is that after 100 articles you may not see that fantastic results yet. However, keep on going the results will be worth it over time. As you continue your results will get better and better. This is a long term strategy and if you are looking for quick results I do not suggest that you attempt this at all because you will totally get frustrated.

Now the most important part of marketing this way is that your leads are a lot more responsive and more likely to buy from you. One of the biggest problems with building a list is actually getting people to buy from you. It is not as easy as what people say. People only buy from other people that they like, know and trust.

Article Marketing - Is This a Good Way to Reach Niche Decision Makers

Article marketing is actually one of my favorite ways to reach three different (although possibly overlapping groups of people: 1) people who exist in competitive markets where the cost of advertising is high 2) niche customers who are hard to pin down and find and 3) people who are buyers, not search engine-aholics.

Why does article marketing work so well for all these groups?

I think it is because all of these groups are so difficult to reach through the traditional mediums and yet with article marketing every article is the same. That is, controlling for things like strength of the title, and the article directory or web site to which you submit the article, all articles are equal.

And one of the things that keeps the market so open is that it cannot be reasonably automated you cannot create a machine to do the article writing for you. And because of this, and because most people seem to want to automate things it is easier and easier to stand out if you are article marketing at least that is my opinion.

One of the best ways to target a specific group of people like business decision makers is to write articles that are specifically targeted to the types of topics that would appeal to business decision makers.

So the first step would be to brainstorm, what types of articles would be of interest to business decision makers? Once you have that, info, the rest is a piece of cake write the articles, and the traffic will come. Remember, article marketing produces some of the highest quality leads around.

How To Generate Traffic - Increase Income - And Build Your List

To be successful on the Internet, you need to develop a growing stream of traffic, generate income, and build your list. If you can accomplish these three goals, you will be successful online. Writing articles is an excellent way to achieve all three of these goals. That is, if you do it properly. Of course all of your articles should be about engaging subjects and have great titles to attract maximum readers. Assuming that your article satisfies these two objectives, how do you generate traffic, increase income and build your list? You accomplish these things with a great resource box.

The resource box is your compensation for writing the article. This is the section, usually below your article where you post your advertising. Many people tell about how great they are or their accomplishments in the resource box. Unless you are running for public office, this is probably a mistake.

Most article directories allow you to place three links in your resource box. You should take full advantage of this and include the maximum number of links that they allow. After all, this is the only compensation that you will receive for writing the article. You may as well get the most bang for your buck.

If the article directory allows it, use anchor links in the resource box, the search engines favor this type of link. If the directory does allow html, use plain text links using the full web address. Make sure to begin with http.

In each resource box, include a link to your opt in page. This will build the size of your list. And in this business, those with the largest lists have the highest incomes. Always include a link to your opt in page!

In addition, always include 2 additional links. Ideally, these should direct visitors to two of your own products, or a page on your site where you stand to make some money. If you do not have your own product, use affiliate products. Unfortunately, some article directories will not allow links directly to affiliate products. Read the directory's terms of service to determine if it is allowed.

By including a resource box with the maximum number of links allowed, you can generate traffic, increase income, and build your list.

Article Marketing Success - How To Write Articles That Compels Your Reader To Buy From You?

Did you know that one article can bring you as much as 100 highly targeted visitors? It takes you less than thirty minutes to write a well written and informative article. If you deliver the good, the reader is going to click on your resource box and see what you have to offer.

Some of my most best articles have more than one hundreds click and hundreds of views. But these statistics don't include all the publishers who downloaded my articles.

And what if an ezine publisher with thousands of subscribers like your article and send it to his list with your well crafted resource box?

I am sure this could bring your sales your way.

But if you wrote an article that doesn't make sense, nobody is going to send it to his list. And what do you think about readers who stumble about your article?

This poor surfer was searching for information. He was searching for a real expert he can rely on, and instead, he found a couple of "bizarre" sentences that didn't give him a single benefit.

Do you think he is going to click on your link in the resource box? He won't! Because he knows that this article wasn't written by an expert. Why should he bother?

The reader needs help, he want to solve a problem or relive a pain. If you give him even more troubles and make him lose his valuable time, he is never going to make business with you after that... unless he is forced to do so because there is no competitors.

But this is not the case today, so take your time and write a good article.

Article Submission - Methods to Get Good Backlinks

There are a few marketing tricks you can use to begin building traffic to your website. If you are an affiliate marketer, or network marketer, this method will bring you target traffic by using article submission.

The first thing to remember is that you should be the person writing your articles if you want this trick to work for free. You do not have to be a great writer at all. If this seems too daunting, then there are writers on the Internet that will take over this task for you.

Article submission to drive traffic to your site needs to have the subject matter of your articles be something about the product, or company you are trying to market on your site. It does no good to have your article be about pencils, if you are trying to market pens.

Break up your articles into small 500 word articles using SEO methods. Optimizing your articles for article submission to content sites is to get your articles listed naturally as part of that content site.

Google loves article sites. Their spiders index these article content sites on a regular basis. When your article submission is accepted, this then becomes a part of that site and gets indexed along with everything else for article submission into the search engine.

Use target keywords in your articles. If the product you're writing about is foreign auto parts with regards to hubcaps, then your keyword might be "foreign car hubcaps". You would want to use this keyword at least 6-8 times throughout your article.

This helps to make your article relevant to Google, when it is indexed. This also will go far to give your article a high ranking when someone is looking for foreign car hubcaps for their car. SEO article submission like this will target your market so your traffic is right on what you are marketing.

The key to people reading your articles then getting to your marketing page is simple. All of the article content sites will allow you to leave a link at the bottom of your article. This link would be the URL to your page so you receive the traffic generated from your article submission.

It helps to leave a closing comment to your readers, so if they are looking for a wide selection of foreign car hubcaps, they can follow your link to check out this resource. This is the key to making this trick work to receive targeted traffic.

Article submission to article content sites is not a new marketing trick, but it is an effective one. Done correctly, your article submission has the power to rank first page on Google and stay there for months, generating a steady income resource to you over and over again.

Another key to article submission is to engage your readers so they don't just leave without finishing the article. It has been shown that people reading online have a shorter attention span than when reading a magazine article. If your article entices the readers to want more information about the subject, then they are more than likely going to follow the link you left for them at the bottom of it.

Online Marketing Tip - Where Is Your Website Going?

My first job after university was working at a small publishing company. One of my boss's favourite sayings was, "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there." It was a reminder to his staff that the first step in any project is to establish what you want to achieve i.e. setting goals or targets.

In my experience few websites have any goals. Often they're built on the reasoning, "We've gotta have a website because everyone else has one." Even now, many people think a website is a kind of marketing panacea. They think that by simply putting a website up they'll be deluged with sales enquiries. Unfortunately it ain't so.

Realistic and achievable goals for a website fall into the following categories:

Prospect acquisition
A website can deliver sales leads directly (e.g. by prospects emailing you to arrange a consultation or providing their contact details) or indirectly (e.g. by prospects visiting your showroom after finding out about your products online).

E-commerce
Making sales directly from your website.

Customer service
You can serve your customers better by providing customer service online. This can range from FAQs on common customer queries to a 24/7 online help desk.

Building brand equity
People now expect businesses to have a website. And they expect the same respect, responsiveness and customer service on the web as they receive from other touch points. A website can have a powerful effect on customers' brand perception.

Process automation
You can cut costs by automating processes online e.g. online billing, data gathering, delivering information, and human resources procedures.

One, or a combination, of these goals should be the primary focus of your website. Once you've selected your goals you can develop strategies to achieve them.

This is by giving them necessary information and turning them into subscribers and customers, by article writing. Now it's time to implement for one of the most profitable Internet marketing strategies of all...

It's time to write YOUR OWN article or have one written for you so that you can post it on your own blog AND get it published in other people's blogs, websites and email newsletters for FREE.

Why would you want to do that?

Because getting YOUR OWN articles written, distributed and published on the Internet is one of the very best *FREE* Internet marketing technique in existence. Think about it...

Once you have an article written where YOU are the author, you become an instant authority. When people find your article, read it and get some good information from it, they appreciate you. That appreciation quickly grows into trust and when they click the link in your article resource box to visit your website, they will be much more likely to sign up with you in one of your recommended business opportunities or buy one of your recommended products.

Remember, the more links you get on quality websites pointing back to you, the more money you will make online. It's really that simple.

Plus, once you get one of YOUR ARTICLE published on someone else's blog or website, that article and the links within it are probably going to remain there FOREVER. In fact, there are articles I distributed more than 5 years ago that are still pulling in traffic and profits to my website today and they will still be working for me 20 or more years from now... for FREE! Think long and hard about that...

Getting your articles published on other people's websites is 100% FREE advertising for life

First, you need to decide if you want to write your own articles or pay someone to write articles for you.

Let's examine these 2 choices.

1) Write your own article.

The main benefit of writing your own articles is that it's "free" and only costs a little bit of your time. Also, writing your own articles will give you a sense of pride and accomplishment. Further, many people are "natural educators". You might *ENJOY* writing articles and sharing information about what you know.

2) Hire someone to write articles for you.

This is a great solution for people who are not comfortable writing their own articles. You might feel like you don't know enough or you simply might not enjoy writing... You should NEVER let either of these factors stop you from authoring your own articles and getting them published online. Simply use an article ghost writing service such as Just Articles.

Why do you want to write articles that relate to the content of your website?

Because once people start reading your articles, you'll be viewed as an authority on whatever subject matter your article is about. Once you've established that "expert status" in your reader's mind and they come to visit your website through the link in your article resource box, your website needs to supply additional information, opportunities and resources related to the content of your article. That's how you turn targeted visitors into sales. People will read your article, visit your website, click on the links to learn more about the opportunities and products presented on your site and often buy something.

IN CONCLUSION

Articles are secret keys that could boost your home business sales, simply take out some time think back at yourself what you search the net for when you newly started your home business, there are everyday people in search of such information online, educating them, place your links on your articles and they will simply comeback to you as determined visitors. If you dont fill comfortable writing your articles yourself simply use a ghost writer service like just articles at www.justarticles.com

Article Marketing and Duplicate Content - Is Mass Submission a Killer?

In the past, submitting your articles to as many article directories as possible was a very effective technique. The search engine algorithms were not nearly as complex as they are today and the multiple links were very valuable.

Today, mass article submission is not nearly effective. As a matter of fact, the search engines look at it as a form of spam. SEs like to see unique, quality content and the same article appearing on hundreds of sites is not unique.

Is mass article submission duplicate content? Actually in Googles eyes, it is not. But, that does not mean it is OK to mass submit and this is why. Google defines duplicate content as the same exact content on the same site. When they come across this there is no penalty, they will just index one of the pages and leave the other out of their index. Since articles are submitted to multiple websites and each page has a different style and layout, it is not duplicate content and many of the pages will get indexed.

So why not mass submit? Although many of your articles will get indexed, they will not receive as much weight in the SEs as they would if they were only submitted to a few authority sites. Is it possible for an article to rank high for a long tail keyword after being mass submitted? Absolutely but that same article would have ranked even higher if it were only submitted to the top few sites.

To sum it all up, do not mass submit. But, do not limit your submission to the top few article directories. Find some good ezines in your niche and ask for inclusion. If they like your article they may include it and that has the potential of bringing in a blast of target visitors. It is also a good idea to seek out a few authority websites in your niche that are not necessarily article directories. If you can get your big competitors to publish your articles on their site you can brand your name and be known as an expert in your field.

There are many factors that must be calculated in order to conduct a successful article marketing campaign. Hopefully I have laid one rumor to rest and you can use this newly obtained information to help better serve your home business.

Article Marketing Tips for Internet Newbies - What to Write About?

Article writing is the best way to spread your links. It is free; and it helps add value to your Internet presence through the information you share in the articles. You write an article about 500 words and submit it to prominent article directories. You can reference your web url in your resource box attached with the article. The more directories you submit your articles to, the more back links you build.

Writing articles can be challenging for some people. If you want to hold your standards high and write your own articles, it could be time-consuming. Alternatively, you can hire ghost writers to do the job for you at a cost. $10 for a 300-500 word article when you commit in bulk (maybe 8-10 articles) is a decent price.

I personally like to write my own articles despite the fact that it is time-consuming. I like the fact that it is my voice and that I learn what I have to write about through the research and experimenting.

For Internet marketing newbies, the first block may be not knowing what to write about. When you are new, you do not feel like an authority in anything. How do I come up with an article when I do not know enough about anything? You may ask.

The answer is "Quite the contrary!" You have a lot more to write about when being the newbie than a veteran to some extent. Anything you are learning can be committed to paper. This is much like a school paper. You have to do some research, carry out the experiment, share the results (or sometimes not necessarily), and reach a conclusion.

Some areas where you may find plenty to write about are:

- how each of your affiliate programs works

- how you solved a problem in building your home biz

- new things you've learned and your thoughts on them

- your views and revelations in your area of interest

- resources that you have found that have worked well for you

- documenting you success experience with step by step instruction

Covering various topics in these areas may also gradually establish you as an authority in building your home biz online.

If the above suggested areas of topics are too vague for you, there is another way that is more specific. Visit Internet marketing related forums (e.g. Warriorforum). Pay attention to what questions people are asking. Make those questions your assigned topics to write about. Do the necessary research (if you do not already know the answer) and document your findings and conclusions. Since the same questions are asked over and over again by different people, you may get a chance to share your findings at a later opportunity, which will in turn build you a solid backlink (when you plant your web url in your signature).

Still another specific way to find what to write about is to read what other people have written. Then, try to rehash the same content in your own words adding your own spin to it. It is better that you add some new and/or unique input to the original content. This is not difficult to do as we are all so opinionated and find ourselves disagreeing with each other easily and often.

It is also advisable to keep a list of topics you want to write about. If you are like me, you will have days when you feel extremely inspired that you have something to say about everything. Those are usually the times when you only have enough time to do perhaps one article. Other times, you are dealt the writer's block where you just cannot think of anything to write about. Experience tells me that it is a smart habit to get into to note down all the things you want to comment/write about in your brief moments of inspiration. These notes, though it takes some discipline to keep, will prove to be little sparkles of intellect when your mind goes through the duller phase.

4 Reasons Why You Need Testimonials to Sell More

The other day I was writing a sales brochure for a West Coast manufacturer. As I got to what Ill call the proof section of the brochure, I was rummaging around for testimonials. The company already had a full-blown Web site and a solid PowerPoint presentation. So I was hopeful that Id find some ready made testimonials or at least some material I could use to create some.

As it turned out, they had one case study with a couple of customer quotes. I pieced together the material to create one measly testimonial. It was less than adequate.

Well, maybe its no big deal. After all, I wrote strong copy. Why even bother with testimonials? Ill give you four good reasons.

1. Credibility

Testimonials give your company, product, or service credibility. Everyone is bombarded with advertising messages every day. Its a brutal marketplace. If you want to sell something to somebody, you stand a much better chance if you can convince them that youre credible. Testimonials are like references on a resume. Theyre the people who vouch for you.

2. Identification

Your prospects identify with your customers who are providing the testimonials. They have similar concerns, problems, hopes and desires. They commiserate. This is good. You want this in your marketing. (Sorry, but your prospects dont identify with you. Not really. Youre trying to sell them something!)

3. Proof

Proof, alone, is reason enough to gather and use testimonials. This is where your customers say, in effect, Theyre right, Mr. or Ms. Prospect. They can save you 50% ... or make you feel 18 again ... or make you enough money to retire at 50. They did it for me and Im thrilled! Testimonials notarize your marketing speak.

4. Closure

Testimonials help close the sale. Sure, they can be used throughout a marketing piece. But they definitely come in handy toward the end. Youve introduced the problem or need, your product or service, the features and benefits, and more. Then you line up your testimonials, all the customers whose heads are nodding and saying, Yep, it worked for me. Soon after, you ask for the order.

For many reasons, testimonials give your prospects the confidence they need to buy from you for the first time. And once your prospects turn into new customers, the door to repeat sales swings wide open.

Use The Moving Average Method To Measure Your Article Popularity Quotient

Have you ever wondered which of your articles are the most popular? Do you even care?

I don't know, maybe you don't. But I was wondering and thought I'd try to find out.

Now, I'm not talking about marketing effectiveness. I'm just talking about crude popularity here. You know, prettiest prom dress; winningest personality; most likely to succeed. That sort of thing.

This kind of measurement is a little tricky because you can't go on raw numbers alone. The article published 15 weeks ago will certainly register more page views than the one published last week. Don't you think?

The passage of time skews even the best of intentions.

So what can you do?

I recommend a moving average approach.

First, download the CSV version of your Articles Report into a spreadsheet. Then, go down the list and give each article a rating based on the following criteria:

Give each article one point for every page view. A little sophomoric? Perhaps. But trust me.

Now, award 10 points for each time an ezine publisher followed the EzinePublisher link to that article's html and text codes. The reason this is more valuable than page views should be obvious. The whole point to article marketing is to write articles that get publishers to pick up the article and publish it, thereby increasing your readership. To the extent that you are making this happen with your ability to write compelling and useful articles, it's a valuable measure.

For every time an article has been e-mailed, award it three points. An e-mailed article means you have at least hit the interest nerve of some member of your target audience. It may not have been a publisher so the category isn't as valuable as the EzinePublisher link, but it is more valuable than a simple page view, which doesn't necessarily mean that someone read the entire article.

Next, give yourself a point for every positive comment and take away two points for every negative comment. Hey, that's not fair!

Alright, you've got me. I guess I'll have to appeal to human nature. Most people will not take the time to leave a comment, even if they like an article. Furthermore, they are more likely to leave a positive comment than a negative one. Given these two self-evident truths, if you get a negative comment, it means you struck a nerve. Take off two points and drive on. On the other hand, if you got a positive comment go ahead and pat yourself on the back and take the points you'll get from page views, downloads and other atta-a-humanoids as a better measure.

Finally, if you got any ratings votes, give yourself a point for each star. A five-star rating will warrant you five points. A three-star rating, three points. And that's all there is to it. Well, not quite.

Now that you've tallied the points, what does it mean? The article with the most points does not win the 'most likely to succeed' contest. Remember, time skews all things.

Divide the popularity points for each article by the number of weeks that it has been published on EzineArticles. If you have an article that ends up with 49 points and you published it 10 weeks ago, that article will have a final rating of 4.9. Now, rank your articles according to that number and you have a decent measure of popularity based on a moving average.

OK, go ahead. Say, "Who cares?"

Article Submission Strategies - Which of These 3 Article Submission Mistakes Are You Making?

Article marketing requires that you submit your articles to the article directories. While article submission seems like a relatively simple process, there are many mistakes that can be made, and you might not even know you are making them.

The most common article submission mistakes

Let's take a look at the three most common article submission mistakes and what to do instead.

1. Confusion between where you submit your articles vs. how you submit your articles - In my experience, while where you submit your articles is important, how you submit them is much more important. You can submit your articles to the top directories, not submit them well, and not get much response. You can submit your articles to less popular directories, submit them well, and get a great response.

2. Having no article submission strategy - Most article writers approach submitting their articles with the strategy of getting it done and over with as quickly possible. This is a bad strategy. You want to take your time and have a strategy that uses your keywords in all five article submission fields in the article directories.

3. Not automating your article submission process - No, I am not referring to having a service submit your articles to hundreds of directories. Again, that is where you submit your articles, or article distribution. What I am talking about is using automation tools to speed up the process of submitting your articles. You can use software such as short keys lite to type in content that you use over and over for your keywords. In EzineArticles you can have up to three resource boxes pre-programmed and ready to choose and use from the drop down box.

I invite you to use these article submission strategies.

Powerful Article Marketing -- The Secrets of a Mighty Article for Marketing

When one talks about marketing tools for a business, it is no doubt that article making is one of the most commendable if not the best commendable one. The powerful capabilities of an article to motivate a prospective client towards considering the buying or the usage of any product that is being marketed or promoted thru articles marketing is just so prevalent. This is the reason why article marketing has always been a useful and functional marketing tool. I have enlisted below some of the secrets most marketers use in their article marketing:

- In every article you make, always create an accurate, concise, and clear writing. Your prospective clients are to be treated as people who do not have the luxury of time to read and digest long and lengthy types of article materials. These people are basically hopping for not one but many and numerous products on the net. As such, they are basically faced by too many articles that they come across. Therefore, if you give them the exact details of your product on a very compacted form, so much the better.

- Always consider how intended recipients may be taking the article when received. This means that when you write any article for marketing reasons, you have to write like a recipient and not as a marketer. In so doing, you will know what your targeted clients expect to see on a marketing portfolio like that of an article.

- Always have your article material checked for possible grammatical errors. The article that you are sending out does not only represent you, as a writer, but most importantly, it represents the company and the product that is being endorsed. Any flaw that targeted clients may notice on the article shall be a point against the product and the company maker.

The Differences of Free vs Paid Directory Submissions

First a web directory is web site that specializes in finding, categorizing and listing links to other resources on the World Wide Web. Owners of web sites can submit their sites for review and possible inclusion. Those sites are then reviewed for relevancy and site content to determine if the site would have value to the other internet surfers.

By using a Web Directory your site can gain backlinks which are like doorways to your website for traffic to flow. They are also considered votes of quality for search engine rankings which brings additional targeted traffic through search related actions. Web Directory links create unique and topically relevant backlinks to your site.

The thing to note is that all links are not created equal. The fundamental difference in directories is free vs paid. The differences between the two are like night and day or BMW and skateboard.

Free Directory

What you get with free directories are an extremely crowded directory where your link will get lost in a crowd of low quality links, less traffic from the directory due to less visibility, much longer time between submission and acceptance, very time consuming as you typically need to submit to hundreds of these to get the value of one link from a quality paid directory and your listing will typically get placed with listings for low quality spam filled sites.

Let's just face facts, most people start a business to generate revenue and a directory is a business. With directories that allow for free submissions the owners look to generate revenue from the site in other ways and those other ways will decrease the quality of the directory.

One way they generate revenue on free directories is by installing adsense on it. Those adsense advertisements compete with the listings on the directory for the visitor traffic and decrease the value of a link in the directory.

The other common way to generate revenue for a free directory is to sell advertising space on it. The idea being to use the lure of a low quality free link on the directory to draw traffic in to see the paid advertisements like site wide sponsored links, site featured links, site wide footer links, site wide partner links and they can call them other things also. Such as our network, friends and the list goes on.

The fact is that search engines devalue web sites that sell placement of site wide links on them and that severely limits the value of a listing on those directories.

Pay for Review Directory

Some of the things which a pay for review directory will bring you and that you should look for are a directory that is maintained by professionals, rich in content with articles and quality resources/listings, unique design with additional features such as deep linking options, quick review times usually 24 to 48 hours and a directory that is focused on providing a destination resource for visitors which generates traffic.

The focus to be a destination resource is easily spotted by features and content. Does the directory provide something in addition to a place to submit links? Is there a blog with content in it? Are there articles posted within the directory category structure? Are there other features that are just there for visitor's enjoyment such as an art gallery?

In addition there should not be any site wide links for sponsors, there should not be distracting/traffic bleeding adsense. A link from a quality paid directory has more value than free links. They are seen as a higher quality endorsement of the sites listed there. It is our hope that this will help you identify a directory that is worth submitting to from one that is not.

The Authority Web Directory is a vital resource in every online-marketing campaign. Begin your link building effort there, and check for additional resources amongst our listings in the Authority Directory of Directories section.

Explode Your Work At Home Internet Business Traffic By Using The Right Keyword Research Techniques

We tend to be fixated to our earlier ideas, so we rather go the familiar routes and are not eager to find new creative keywords for our work at home internet business. That is a pity, because the old thinking brings the old results and the keyword market changes all the time.

The right angle to think your work at home internet business keywords is the consumer angle, to try to think like the prospective does but in the way which supports your business plan. It is not so simple to judge what search terms the searchers type, when they try to find information about your business topic.

One quick example from the world of the work at home internet business: most often we try to sell the benefits of our program to the prospects, like the amount of income etc. But should we in stead present conditions, that exist in the prospects life, that cause them to search the Net.

The natural way to find keywords is guessing, i.e. we try to guess again and again which keywords the searchers are using, and the result is most obviously the same as earlier. But we should use methods, which bring us results about the searchers real behaviour.

Now the key is to find work at home internet business keywords, which describe well your topic and the website nature and are so called low competition keywords. Optimizing your website along these keywords, it is possible to rank high in the search result pages and to grab most of the traffic. You see, being number one or two on these pages gives you more traffic than being number 15 on the high demand page.

Often these kind of work at home internet business keywords are so called long tail keywords or keyphrases, which target the offer better than the high demand search terms. When the page rank depends mostly on the amount of backlinks, they are not needed so many with the long tail search phrases.

The two key issues are the amount of competition and the sharp targeting, i.e. how well the search term focuses to the topic and nature of the landing page. The typing errors can be very useful as keywords, because many internet business marketers do not use them, because of the error.

It is useful to expand the scope of thinking and try to figure out the many reasons, why a prospect wants the work at home internet business, which you offer: income, freedom, self-esteem, social respect, success, image etc. A well working website has the answer to these several needs and handles the topic from many angles. The truth is that the searchers search information using lots of keywords.

The more information you have on your website about the various aspects of your theme, the more you will give to the people and the more keywords you need in order to fulfil the needs of the different searchers. This is important: do the keyword research regularly and use lots of work at home internet business keywords, so you will grab more searchers from the huge flow of the Net searches.

Too many work at home internet business websites do not widen their scope, but use the most obvious keywords again and again and will get the same results. And, this is the worst, they try to climb the search engine results pages, which have too heavy competition. It is a mission impossible.

Effective marketing steps out from the traditional box and does not talk only about the product, but about the prospects life. It is important to understand the benefits of the wideness of the prospects needs: it is not only earnings or some other one term, but a wide sortiment of needs, both rational and emotional, which determine the search term the searcher will use.

After the searcher has landed to your work at home internet business page, he is able to do the choices, i.e. which information he will pick. When you will research this wider need sortiment of the prospects, you will find keywords, which bring lots of good traffic and are longer lasting, i.e. the page rank will stand longer and do not need so many new backlinks all the time.

Now you see that the question is about the behaviour of the prospect, which is much wider topic than just the product you offer. This new angle has a great influence on your results, because the target group will feel that you know their needs in depth and they will respond better to your work at home internet business offers.

Switch to your prospects point of view instead of your own and you will find a totally new world and also understand better the benefits and the reasons, why the searchers search the information about your topic. You have to stop finding keywords, try to find needs in stead, because they will describe better the real reasons for the searches. This you can reach by typing, not keywords, but sentences into the keyword research toolbar. Be creative and a little bit foolish and that will open new paths to your work at home internet business. And remember that the rich, fresh content is the king.
