Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

Here's a predication that I know will irritate the technically oriented Kings of SEO: Looking hard into my crystal ball, as one does, I reckon that their days are numbered and that they are a dying breed! Now before the techies swarm around LeadGenerators HQ with pitchforks and flaming torches ready to silence the web-marketing heathen, allow me to explain...

Those of you who know me are probably well aware of my healthy disregard for the techno-centric view of internet marketing. In my mind, instead of technical considerations dictating what we should try to achieve, we marketing managers should dictate what we want and then find the technical solutions to achieve it. I know that this attitude annoys the technocrats who seem to dominate the online marketing world, but my approach has proved successful in its own right.

I have always seen SEO as a two-stage process. The first is to make sure that a client's website is search engine friendly. This process analyses the structural elements of the site to make sure that search engines are able to see ALL the pages of the site and are able to rank (judge) each page in its own right. It's a lengthy analysis that covers many aspects of the site but it's largely a one-off project. Once done, and once the site has been improved accordingly, the techies' work is more or less done.

The larger, second step is all-important and all about the content of the site itself.

For a site to achieve good rankings, we need to first select the right keywords. I won't go into the science of keyword research and selection, but once the best ones have been selected for a client, we need to move into the realm of writing, sprinkling certain keywords strategically throughout the text and the code of each page. It's not just this keyword enhanced copy that requires excellent writing though - link building, press releases, social media - the common denominator for all of these is good writing and communication skills, combined with good old-fashioned common sense, which most technically minded people aren't best suited to provide. It is the writers and communicators - not the programmers - who have delivered our best results in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

There is a rather tacky expression in the SEO community that says "Content is King". I would like to get a little tackier if I may: If content is King, then the up and coming Princes of SEO must surely be the writers and communicators.

Just a thought ... and I look forward to comments.

Even though it is very big business, many people have never heard of coregistration services and coregistration leads. The concept of a coregistration lead is that the site visitor is signing up or registering for multiple offers at once, or at least has that option.

You have probably participated in the co-registration lead generation process and did not even know it at the time. If you have signed up for a free email account, surely you remember that as part of the registration process for the account, you filled in your true name and email address, and perhaps your physical address.

After completing the form, you were registered for the first offer (the free email account) and then shown a page that offered you a long list of topics on which you could receive further information. If you checked any of those boxes, then you became a co-registration lead.

Many coregistration lead service companies use a similar system, but usually display far fewer offers than you saw when you signed up for that free email account. You might be sent through the same process, though, and be shown multiple related coregistration offers on the thank you page.

Or you might have visited a high traffic website, clicked a link to get more information, and been taken to a page that had multiple coregistration offers displayed on the page.

Yet another way that opt-in co-registration leads are generated is to show you a series of additional related offers after you sign up for the main offer. In that case, the co-registration path takes you from one splash page to the next after you have already submitted your information on the main registration page. Every time you check a box or click "submit" you have become a coregistration lead.

Some coregistration services will show you offers randomly, while others will target the offers that they show you, based upon their relationship to the offer that you initially signed up for. For instance, if you signed up to get football scores by email, you might see co-registration offers about sports betting or sports magazines. Or if you signed up for a golf magazine, you might see co-registration offers for golf vacations, etc.

Many people frown upon the use of coregistration leads simply because they dont understand the process of how a co-registration lead is collected. They are perfectly legitimate and legal leads, but cost less because the offer from which they are recruited is secondary, rather than primary.

Just because a prospect did not see your offer as the primary offer does not mean that they cannot be a targeted prospect for a co-registration offer and become a viable, and often profitable coregistration lead for your business.

Author John Barbour sells coregistration leads, is also the author of an email marketing ebook "The Email Profit Formula", and maintains a directory of coregistration lead sources

SEO (search engine optimization) & blogs (especially wordpress) go very well together. Because the link structure of wordpress is optimum for search engine spiders to crawl & regularly updating nature of blogs is what search engines love.

On-page SEO means the way the site or blog is being built, such as the layout, the linking structure, the title text, meta description. This may sound like basic information but without it, it's like a building with a weak foundation - which won't last long.

Using SEO title plugin, you can put the title of your blog in your title text automatically, right in front of the name of your blog. This is important as the search engines read from left to right, just like humans.

Putting the name of your blog post in title text makes it easier for them to crawl & know exactly what your site is about.

So when you post on your blog, remember to put the keyword in the name of your post & it would automatically appear in your title text.

Link structure is another thing that search engine spiders & even human visitors would use to determine what your blog post is about.

A neat link structure would tell the search engines clearly what the post is about & for humans, it would be easier to remember a neat link structure.

blog.com/p?2395 vs blog.com/name-of-post Just look at these 2 links & determine which you'll remember easier. Obviously the second link, right?

So just put yourself in your visitors' shoes, when a visitor remembers a link, even if he forgot to bookmark it, he can still come back to it. Repeat visitors will eventually build you a more loyal reader base.

After you build a really strong following of reader, advertisers & merchants will chase after you to pay you for advertising. There'll also be more ways you can monetize your blogs as you build more readers.

"Build it & they'll come!" - that's a half truth! The reality is "build it well & the targeted visitors will come."

Users all over the internet are looking at videos, sharing with friends and, yes, promoting their online businesses. Live videos are a great resource for online marketing strategies. Post a video about your products, services, website, or anything related to what you do on YouTube, LiveVideo, OverStream or Google Video. This will give potential clients a more tangible grasp on what you do and how you do it. Also it is another link to click on, meaning surfers will have more opportunities to reach your homepage through different sites and media. You and your business will be more connected with the online community, which will not only drive traffic to your homepage, but your blogs, articles and resources pages, and soon your video page.

Log on to any of the above video sites and you can create your business's video channel. Here you can put a description of what you do and who you are, adding links to your site and blog. Your video should have an eye-catching title as well as a short description. Choose viable and relative keywords to tag to it. Also put these videos on your homepage or about us page and post them on all your social networking sites. The more effort you put into promoting your videos, the more traffic they will produce. You also want to keep your videos fresh and check on their stats every week to see what demographic is looking at them. That way you can plan for your next marketing move.

Three Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills. With modern communication technology comes the popularity of information-based marketing, which is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. If there is one widely accepted means to promote and advertise your products and services on the net that is very cost effective and reliable in terms of yielded results, it will surely be article marketing. The dilemma in article marketing results from the variety of ideas and methods being employed by the article marketers. It is best hoped that these fresh ideas can shed light towards achieving good article marketing:

1. Article marketing should be directed towards a well-focused article. The main component of your marketing scheme dwells more on how effective the article material is. Therefore, it is essential that you give emphasis and importance on what sort of article material you are going to market.

2. After knowing what sort of article materials are to be produced, the next important aspect of article marketing that you need to focus on is your mechanism on how you will market these articles on the net. Make sure that you make a good plan and strategy on how you can potentially maximize the distribution of these articles to gain wide popularity. You can go about having these articles posted on other sites - a lot of sites are welcoming articles - or you can have them published on your own site, too.

3. Make a powerful byline positioned either at the top portion of your article or in the middle. The byline will be your chance to market and promote your identity or any product or service that you wish to advertise. This is a better way to promote rather than including your promotion on the content of your material which at a certain degree disrupts the continuity of the presentation of ideas.

4. Track effectively how these articles are performing on the net. You need to know whether or not these articles are pulling in some potential clients directed towards your business. If at a certain point they do not, then you will need to make some necessary adjustments to improve the yielded results.

Article marketing is one of the best ways to generate website traffic and improve your listing positions on the search engines. Articles work in four ways to drive traffic to your site and get you seen on Google.

However, before you begin to think how to use articles, you first have to write them. You have two choices here: write your own or have them ghostwritten for you. It doesn't matter what way you decide to go, since the approach is the same whether or not your article is actually written by you or somebody else, as long as you have the copyright and your name is stated as author.

The choice of subject is important. It should be a topic that is fairly popular, since nobody will be interested in an article written on last year's great idea. Article and website generation software, for example, was very popular up to the first half of last year, but when Google's new contextual analysis algorithm started to downlist web pages that did not hack it regarding content, then the popularity of that method of generating web pages and content articles dropped to nil.

Prior to that, articles on the topic were hot, and then suddenly, almost overnight, they were dropped like hot potatoes and authority websites suddenly became the thing. Your article, then, must be topical and well written. You should make sure that there are no glaring spelling or grammatical errors. It does not have to be perfect, and the occasional slip can be tolerated, but the approach that 'as long it can be understood then it is fine' is certainly not acceptable.

In order for an article to be useful to you in generating traffic and improving your website listings you must submit it to article directories. Submit it to as many as you can because you get a one-way link back to your website from each directory you get it published in. Search engines such as Google regard these links to your site as indicating the popularity of your site, and hence its importance and relevance to the keyword for which it is listed. This helps your page ranking, and also its position in the listings for that keyword.

Article directories also allow you what is known as an 'author's resource box'. This is where you provide some extra information about yourself or your website and provide a link to your site. It appears either in form of a box, or as an extra two or three lines of text at the end of the article. You must make sure that the link is to a page on your website that relates to the topic of the article. If you are writing about rubies, then the link should take a visitor to your web page providing information on rubies, and not emeralds. Otherwise, you could lose your visitor.

If the reader wants more information on the topic of your article, they will click on the link and get it. That is potentially a good source of traffic, assuming that your article is good, provides useful information and the reader wants to find out more. You can word the resource box, or the end of the article, to persuade them to click on that link.

If your article is good, then a reader might like it so much as to copy it to a page on their website, dealing with the same or a related topic, to use as content. This gives you two further benefits. First, visitors to the other website could find your article and click on the link you have provided, so providing you with even more traffic. Secondly, you get another one-way link back to your web page from the other person's web page.

Some links from article directories can be very valuable to you because they are from web pages with a high Google page ranking. Page ranking is a measure of the popularity of your individual web pages calculated from the number of other web pages linking to it, and the page rank of these other pages. A link from a page ranked six is worth a lot more than one from a page ranked two. The page rank is shown on the Google tool bar in the form a green line, with a mouse-over numerical figure ranging from 0 - 10. Google itself has a page rank of eight.

To recap, then, article marketing provides you with direct traffic through readers of your article clicking on your link to find out more on the topic of your article. They can do this either directly from your article resource box, or from the website of anyone who copies the article to use on their site.

You also get traffic through the listing on Google and other search engines that will be enhanced according to how many links back to your website you generate from article directories and other websites using your articles. The higher the page ranking of these directories and websites that link to you, then the more benefit they will bring.

Article marketing is currently very popular, and one of the best ways to generate website traffic and therefore enhance your income.

Viral marketing is a methods of list building

There are multiple methods of list building, and if you are just getting started, until you have gained mastery over one or two methods, it is advisable to use multiple methods of list building strategies. You’ll see every step of the process, no matter how small, in exacting detail so

The number of websites linking to your website not only directly increases the number of visitors to your website, they also indirectly help with search engine optimisation and as such the more links your website has the better it is rated.

Everyone knows that you have to have inbound links into your site in order for the search engines to value it and rank it highly against your chosen keywords. But is it better to buy those links from a link broker or directly from the site itself, or to go through time-consuming effort of building reciprocal links? The problem with links, is in actually gaining enough links on enough websites to actually make it worthwhile, although reciprocal links are effective, they are extremely hard to gain and although you might gain a few hundred links in this way you will never gain the potential thousands that a suitable link development strategy can achieve.

Let us be clear: both of these methods are clearly against the spirit of the Google ranking algorithm, which uses the quality and quantity of inbound links as a substitute for having someone actually look at your site and take a view on its quality and value. Quite apart from the subjective nature of such a judgment, the sheer number of web pages out there would make this an impossible task. So links are - for better or for worse - the easiest proxy for a human judgment. However, both paid links, or text link ads, and reciprocal links clearly subvert the intent of the link-counting algorithm, since neither of them represent the disinterested judgment of real people; both are nakedly designed to deceive Google and the other search engines into thinking that more people value your site than your competitors, when quite the opposite might be true.

Nonetheless, for the time being, it is undeniable that you can buy your way into favour with the search engines either by paying for text link ads or by spending time persuading other people to reciprocate links with your site. Which is better? Hard-won experience with both strategies suggests that a combination of both is ideal. Unless your site and your links pages have themselves some PageRank your reciprocal link building process is going to be slow and painful. Webmasters with high PR sites will not see much value in linking to you, and it will take a long time to build PR through linking to low or zero PR sites.

This implies a simple strategy: buy some high PR text link ads, point them at both your homepage and your links page and wait for the PR to feed through and for Google to give you a decent PR on both pages. In the meantime you can start on the process of reciprocal link building with lower-ranked sites, and once your own ranking has come through you can start to request links from high-value sites. When the receiving webmaster sees that you can offer him links from a PR4 or 5 web page he will be much more inclined to treat you with civility and offer you high-ranking links in return. Pretty soon after this you will be able to stop paying for text link ads and start benefiting from the free marketing that comes with a top-ranked site for your chosen search terms.

Link development is fundamental for search engine marketers. It's very difficult for a site to get long-term search engine traffic without it. The focus should always be on high-quality links, not a large quantity of low-quality links. SEMs must teach their clients how to correctly request links from high-quality, non-competitive sites. With successful link development, Web sites can receive long-term, cumulative search engine traffic. Just do it right.

With so much business today coming from the Google search engine, no professional business can afford to be without the professional consultation when it comes to their search engine optimisation. Take a note of some of the points you should look for when choosing the right SEO company for you.

Beware of Guarantees

If a company claims that it can give you the number one ranking on Google, don't trust it. The Google search engine uses very elaborate formulas to get the results it does, and someone stating that they can guarantee you the top slot, (especially if you are in a competitive field) is not to be trusted.

Don't Link to Your SEO

Don't trust the services of any SEO that states that you need to link to them to get the traffic that you need. More often than not, these are companies that will inflate your numbers with people who have paid pennies to click on your site, no matter what it is.

Look at Accreditation

What certification does your consultant hold? This is where it pays to do your research. There are many firms out there that offer SEO certification and they are most definitely not all created equal. Take a look at where your consultant got his or her certification and ask yourself how thorough it is.

Beware Secretive Consultants

While there are a lot of things to remember, many of the concepts of SEO work can be broken down very quickly for you. Don't trust someone who's secretive about what they are doing.

Watch Out for "Cheaters"

SEO consultants who immediately set out to trick the Google search engine don't last long; watch out for people who claim they can do just that.

Refunds

Remember that if you are not satisfied with the quality of the work that you have received, you should not be forced to pay for it. A good firm will have options for remuneration available to you, with the assumption that you won't need to use it.

Word of Mouth

If you have a friend or a associate who had SEO work done, speak with them. What did they like about the experience? What would they have changed? This is especially relevant if they are in the same field.

Look for a Specialist

If you sell exotic birds, look for an SEO specialist who has some experience working with the sale of animals, exotic and otherwise. If you are in a niche business, it is of vital importance that you find the people who are looking for you. It might take some searching but make sure that your consultant is in a good place to work with you when it comes to your industry.

Professional Behavior

Remember that working with an SEO consultant is no different from working with any other professional. Does he do what he said he would? Does he respond to your questions in a timely manner?

Where Will Your Money Go?

If you are asked to buy advertising space, make sure that you know why. Where is your site showing up and what is the benefit to you? Some SEO companies will work more with pay per click and others work with content, so make sure you've found the right one for you.

Making Money with Your Blog!

A place for finding the Nuts and Bolts for Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity!

In the previous articles you learned a lot about key words and how they are used as tools by people who are looking for information. Then we found out that just about everything on the internet is tracked. Because of this, we are able to learn more about what people are looking for and we can even see how many websites there are trying to supply information, products or services to the people that are looking.

Let's make up a scenario based on what we have learned and how it would be used in real life. This is just a fictitious example. Let's say I decided I wanted to promote an affiliate program for website hosting. I am just going to lay out for you what my train of thinking would be.

I do some key word research and I come up with 200 key words related to website hosting. After researching those words, I find 30 that aren't looked up the most, because all of the most searched words had too much competition. But I found 30 that are looked up regularly but don't have the huge numbers of suppliers with sites with those key words.

Now I do some research on those 30 words, and make sure I have plenty of good information and get a very strong understanding of the ins and outs of hosting. Then I write 3 articles for each key word, using the key word in the title of each article. I do this assuming that the hosting company that I have chosen to sign up as an affiliate for, has a very good product, and an excellent sales letter already provided for their affiliates (me).

Now here is the magic of article marketing. First, even if I knew a fair amount about my topic before, you can just imagine how much better I know the topic after I have written almost 100 articles. Second, I put a squeeze page in between my article readers and my hosting company.

How do I do this? I write a quick sales letter offering a free report on the ins and outs of choosing a web hosting company. This is easy, because I just wrote almost 100 articles. And now, I get the name and email address of everyone that clicks one of my links in my articles to get the free report before reading the sales letter of the hosting company.

Now you might be asking yourself, did I miss something? Is it really that easy? Why does this work? How do paying customers get to my affiliate link to buy web hosting? Next I will explain this to you from the customer's perspective because that is how you will see just how good it really does work.

What if Dan Iverson could show you how to write about any topic on earth and make money? He'll teach you how to better understand human nature as it relates to e-commerce; how people, from their perspective, come to make a purchase on the Internet. I am talking about learning how you can pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with the right tools and a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money. Here is the best part. I will teach you all of this absolutely free. That's right, click on this link and you'll get the full Affiliate Masters Course Free. This is no joke, I promise once you start to read this course, you will see and learn the logical system of affiliate and information marketing. It will open your eyes to the greatest and most versatile opportunity in known history: the Internet.
