In fact, you will need some strategies if you plan to actually make your articles work for you. This article covers several methods to take full advantage of article marketing for your business.

First of all, the kind of article that you write determines the majority of your success. If you turn out a 2,000 word essay on your niche, it is very unlikely that anyone will pick it up. Likewise, a 250 word piece of fluff wont be going anywhere either! In order to be effective, the perfect promotional article needs to be around 400-600 words long, the preferred length by webmasters and ezine publishers alike.

Your article should offer good information. After all, if you just blather on about nothing in particular, why would anyone want to buy your product or visit your website? The best way to get your articles noticed is not to submit them to any directory at all. In fact, you will be far better off aiming for specific websites and ezines. Choose one or two websites that are most likely to publish your article and approach them directly. Let them know that you have an exclusive article for them that you will allow to be published free, as long as they include the resource box.

Highly targeted markets can be far better for bringing in traffic than random ones who pick up your article in a directory. This is because your article will be in front of thousands of people who are actually interested in your content. Also, if the article goes out in an ezine, people will respect it as a recommendation from the list owner and are more likely to click on your link.

By following these tips, you can boost the effectiveness of your article marketing drastically. It is worth taking the time to write a high quality article, add a great resource box and then market it to specifically targeted websites. Success is only a matter time!

It is a well known fact that Book Review articles on online article submission sites seem to get more traffic then you might imagine. Therefore it makes sense to write a lot of book reviews. Obviously you own lots of books, but how many book reviews have you actually written? You need to take an inventory of the books that you have already read and make some book reviews of them.

One recommendation I have is to go through your library, office and house and make a list of all the books you have. This is good too incase of a disaster. You can download a Template free from Microsoft. Go to MSN and search "Microsoft Office Templates" then search "Book Lists.

And print it in the size you wish and then start this project. Then take a yellow highlighter and mark the book reviews you wish to do first. Start a word file and put those titles and the authors at the top of the Word Files, one for each;

By putting your name after it you insure that there will not be a duplicate title here. Or you can put a catchy 3-word phrase after it too.

Next please make five sentences that summarize what you most got out of the book. Space the sentences out with three spaces. Then go to the next book and do this until you are done with all those highlighted on your list.

Then put a paragraph between each of those sub-titles and an intro-paragraph about the author or a general reason why this book was important to your life, business, writing, family, career or whatever.

The hope was that you might be able to guess a word or two that was topic or subject specific enough that it would only retrieve data that you wanted to find.

Now if you are new to the Internet and article marketing you might feel a little confused about how all of this ties into article marketing. Actually, this information is the key to understanding SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and understanding SEO is the key to effective article marketing. More confused? Article marketing has two goals. One main goal and the other is a subset of that main goal. The main goal is to drive more targeted traffic to your site. You've probably heard it before and it rings inside your head. The "bum" in bum marketing really gets you kicking and wondering why somebody in their right mind would call their product this. After all this is such a radical departure from the names that we're use to. Mike Filsame has the rights to "Butterfly Marketing", but who wants to be inspired by a colorful flying bug when you can be inspired by...a bum?

It's no surprise that it caught on fire and literally created a storm of wannabe reports about this revolutionary method. This is also partially thanks to the name selection and also because it's basically free. Yet free doesn't really matter that much anymore, and if you ask any decent copywriter then you'd know that it's the most cliche and overused term on the net. What makes this so unique is that it's claim is that it actually works, and it lays out one of the most simplest if not easiest method there is for making money. It could have easily been created as a product in itself but the creator, decided to make it publicly available.

The name was given to imply that this method is so successful that even a bum living on the street can make good money. The income that's going to be made will really just depend on the amount of time and work that you put into this method. The payoff is suppose to come eventually. The main idea is to write articles for article directories using keywords that aren't competitive, or less popular. Since the articles are based on the less competitive terms, these articles will actually have a better chance of coming up to the very top of search engines without much effort. The money is basically made on from the link in the author box, capitalizing on an affiliate product.

The resource box or author's is going to be what the readers are drawn to and they will click it based on your articles. So it's very important to find out whether you have an article good enough to help you establish yourself as a known expert. You should make sure that the link that you're using is valid, otherwise it'll be a complete waste of time to write these articles. The keywords and articles you use will be the main deciding factor on whether the user is going to click your link. If not then you've just wasted some precious time on an article.

For the actual affiliate product that you plan on promoting, you should target the bigger network ones so that you'll have an easier time going through the ones that you want to use. Just make sure that the article matches up with the niche of the product that you're trying to promote. Meaning that it's relevant to the topic. So does this really work?

In theory yes it does and many people are reporting their results and earn up to thousands per month. Yet the problem isn't on whether it works or not, it's based on the patience involved in getting this done. Writing articles hours on end can be a tough thing to do for most people. However, the simple fact that it's hard makes it more of an opportunity for those who are willing to put in their energy and create the articles on a consistent basis. Outsourcing is generally not the best way to do this either simply because of the money involved in making this happen. Of course, if you can find an honest writer whose willing to charge less then by all means go for it. Waiting for the articles to start generating you the money is going to be where the patience part comes in and most people just do not have this. So if you're willing to go ahead and commit yourself to this, then I suggest that you do this. Otherwise, don't waste your time and only use articles as a means to build your brand.

If you try it, then at least you know that this method works and you can later branch out into other projects.

Perhaps you have just created a web page and you have found that it is not creating enough hits that you thought it would have created by now. This may be because you are not using enough SEO scripts on your web page.

When you using Search Engine Optimization you will want to have about 5% of 250 words in your article focused on the keyword. The keyword would be what you are wanting to search engine to find on your website. You will have to find the time to calculate how much keyword density is used throughout your site, you can do this easily by finding a keyword density calculator, or maybe you could do this by looks.

If you are not able to include the exact phrase in part of your text you will at least want to try and aim to get the word close to what your keyword is. Your keywords will not be picked up at all if you dont at least aim close to it. Try not to bury your keyword text at the bottom of your page as well, always try to include it in the top and also, when you are using the keyword try not to use it TOO many times in your text, this can create a negative effect from what you are looking for.
