Article Marketing Secret It's Not All About the Links

You submit an article to as many article directories as possible with a link to your site in the signature block and you get loads of one-way links Thats what we see everyday right? While that statement is true, it is not the key to article marketing success.

The key to article marketing success is obtained by

1. Creating quality articles that are interesting enough for the viewer to follow-through to your signature block and click on your link.

2. Maintaining a constant flow of articles to the top few article directories and sites in your niche.

You may have heard these two statements in the past and chalked it up as not important. If you did, you made a big mistake.

The fact is, your articles MUST be interesting and valuable. If the viewers are not interested enough in your article they will not go past the description, let alone follow-through to your signature block.

At the same time, even if your articles are of great quality and do convert article viewers to website visitors, if you only have a few out there you will not get a considerable amount of traffic from them.

Sure, its true that on rare occasions an article could go completely viral and generate thousands of site views but it is likely? Even if you do have an article or two that goes extremely viral, the traffic will most likely not last.

If you are creating quality articles, every one that you publish to the Internet will bring in a small trickle of website visitors. The more articles you have out there, the larger that trickle will grow.

If you implement the two very basic tips that I just outlined into your article marketing campaign, along with a good signature block and title, you will see the true benefit to article marketing in a very short amount of time.

Almost Criminal Article Marketing Technique To Automatically Create A 6-figure Income

In this article I would like to go over a technique that you can easily use to build a six figure income. Now when you read that statement you may be thinking that this is impossible.

The biggest problem with this method of promotion is actually writing enough to be successful. The higher the volume of articles, the greater the number of your subscribers will be and sales. Lets face it writing a large number of articles can be a real challenge and this is primarily the reason that you are not earning more.

On some days you just won't feel like writing and that will be when your sales are hurt the most. The solution to this common problem is to hire a ghost writer. Look on sites like Elance and set a bid for a project. I suggest that you pay no more than 5 dollars per article. If you pay anymore then it will be difficult to turn a profit.

Now this is the important part. Before you start doing this you need to know how much money you will earn per subscriber. I suggest you start out by writing articles yourself until you have built about 500 subscribers. You need to have a very good backend system in place to monetize your subscribers. You will then be able to calculate how much a subscriber is worth.

Based on this information you can work out how much money you can spend. So for example if 300 articles a month produces six hundred subscribers then you can work out how much money you will earn.

Resource Box and Click Thru Data Considerations in Online Article Marketing

Many online article marketers believe that the resource box or section for the author's byline should be contiguous and I must say that I absolutely agree. Because I have noticed that it also decreases the chances of people lifting articles, taking your name off and stealing your work. This means you get more "pick-ups" and syndicated usage where the link to your website is still in tact.

Should Online Article Submission Sites Give Click Thru Stats?

Many authors such as my self would like to know the click thru stats on our articles. I believe this can be done with site tracking software to see where surfers go, how long they stay on a page and where they click out too. So, this information is known and it is valuable information too, I agree.

Further, if a reader finishes an article that is of value, the average reader can finish a 300 word article in about 1 minute to 1:30 and longer articles will have more folks clicking out before they completely read the article and less likely to bother to scroll down the page, but it would take about 2-3 minutes for a 600 word article and 4 to 6 minutes for a 1,000 to 1200 word article.

Question is; are the readers interested in that much reading, as Internet Surfers are "Click Happy" group of mal-contents with the attention span of a gnat. And mind you I mean a very nice, loving insect type gnat, with hopes and dreams and an iPod as they go.

So if your content gets too thick, then see ya, they are gone, if this is not your clientele you probably do not care, because they are not your target market anyway. But if they click out due to too much thick content, their click-out "Vote" would go against your quality rating.

There is a relative truth about the Internet Surfer and their behavior and a reality of how online article marketing works. I would advise authors to do what works for them, even though some of the silly stupid articles are degrading the language, literature in general and an insult to my intelligence? Thoughts and more thoughts for you.

Marketing Article - Why Write Marketing Articles?

At this point, I am going to assume that you write articles. So why write marketing articles?

I think that one of the reasons is that people are looking for marketing articles they want to learn how to do marketing, especially online marketing, web marketing, article marketing, etc.

When you write marketing articles and post them online to the various article directories, including the one this one was originally posted to, you gain web traffic via the search engines.

You see, people online search the web, and they generally will read the articles that come up in the top ten results of their search results in the search engine they used. And the big article directories, especially the one that this was originally published on, have the page rank to get your article to the top ten results, especially for 2nd and 3 rd tier and long tailed keywords.

So when you write marketing articles, you get world wide readership and that can mean world wide visitors to your web site. An astonishing number of the people that visit my web site, although I am in the US, are in countries all around the world. Literally all around the world. I think I have subscribers in every continent around the world maybe excluding Antarctica so if you are in Antarctica you know what to do!

Anyhow, write marketing articles, submit them to the top 5 article directories (or at least just the one this one was published first to) and watch the traffic roll in. By the way, you have to write more than 2 or 3!

Article Marketing - Don't Stop Your Reader From Going to the Resource Box in Your Articles

If you are using Article Marketing to build your list or bring visitors to your web site or blog, one of the most important parts of your article in the article resource box. The resource box is where you get to invite the reader to your web site or blog for more information.

Very few writers know how to craft a prospect pulling resource box. Most do not do it well. The most amazing mistake I see are the article writers that actually stop the reader from ever getting to the resource box.

Sound strange? How do you know you are not doing it?

The 2 Biggest Resource Box Stop Signs

The first biggest stop sign is what I call a "hard end" to the article. By this I mean that you write in a way that the end of the article is way too clear. You might as well put "The End" like in a movie in the way you have worded the article.

The mistake there is the reader gets the message, "Oh, this is over. I'm outta here," and they are not likely to read further.

What to do instead: Don't stop the reader, lead them right into the resource box with a soft transition.

The second biggest stop sign is starting the resource box with information about you. This also announces "the article is over and you can stop reading now!"

What to do instead: Save the information about you for the last line of the resource box. Begin your resource box with an invitation to the reader to visit your web site or blog for more information.

Article Marketing Mistake #1 - Not Understanding List Building With Your Articles

One of the things you have to know and have to do on the internet is have a list. Your list is people that have subscribed to your newsletter or perhaps a slice of your expertise that you give away in exchange for their email address.

Im biased because my niche, my expertise is article marketing. Other people will say this and back this up. Article marketing is the best free way to build your list. You can do pay per click, which means people opt in and each time they click on a link with Google you pay for it. You can build your list that way.

Most of my lists are built through article marketing because instead of somebody clicking a link or you having to buy lists or somebody co-registering somewhere else, when people join your list after reading one of your articles, youre getting a highly qualified and highly responsive list member because theyve already raised their hand and said, Hey, Im interested in this topic.

Theyve read your article, theyve begun to know, like, and trust you, and if they joined your list theyre saying they want to know more. Theyre telling you, I want to know more.

I would rather have a small list thats highly responsive built through article marketing than a larger list thats not responsive. Now ultimately you want to have a large list thats very responsive.

List building is one of the pillars of working on the internet and being successful in internet marketing. Offline we call it our database or our client list, etc etc. Online we call it our list.

E-zines can be a very powerful marketing tool. Follow my 10 Reasons Why You Should Send Articles to E-zines and reap the rewards!

  1. You'll brand your web site, business and yourself by submitting your articles to website's e-zines. You should include your name, business name, your credentials, web site address and e-mail address in your resource box.
  2. You will become known as an expert on the topics that you write about. This will give you and your business much more credibility which will help you compete against your competition.
  3. Your article might also be placed on the article publisher's home page. If they publish each issue of their e-zine on their home page this will give you some extra exposure.
  4. You might get extra exposure if the e-zine publisher actively archives their e-zine on their site. People might want to read the back issues of the e-zine before they make the decision to subscribe.
  5. You will get some free advertising. This will allow you to spend your hard earned profits on other forms of advertising. You could buy advertisements in other e-zines that don't publish your articles for maximum exposure.

  10. You'll gain lots of people's trust. If they read your article and like it, they won't be as hesitant to buy your product or service as they would without knowing you. You will then be able to increase your profits exponentially.
  11. You could get your article guaranteed to run in a person's e-zine. You could agree to run one of their articles in your website's e-zine if, in exchange, they run yours in their website's e-zine. It's a win/win situation for both of you.

HOW TO Turn Your Ideas Into Multiple Cash Flow Streams

The question that every marketer must ask is "why should THIS customer buy THIS product from ME?" What special opportunity do you provide the customer, compared to your competitors? This question is easy to answer when you are the ONLY one offering a particular product or solution. And the way to be the only one in a market is to be the first in a market. As an on-line marketer, you are constantly looking for the opportunity to offer solutions to your customers. You keep an eye on trends, you gather feedback from your customers, you network with other marketers to find out what's working and what's needed. The best products or services to offer your customers - the ones with the highest likelihood of sales - are the ones that help them solve a problem or introduce a better way of doing something. And the marketer who is ahead of the curve and can get a product to market first has a decided advantage in reaching customers and making sales.

But if you have to take days or weeks to identify a problem, find a solution, develop or improve a product, craft a marketing campaign, and finally roll out your offer - you may find yourself chasing the market instead of leading it. You need to have a system that is flexible enough to adapt to different products and markets, but one that provides the outline and skeleton of producing a product and presenting it the the market in a comprehensive hard-hitting way.

You can develop this system in two ways. The first is to track and record everything you do on all of your programs until you identify the steps involved in the one or two that are successful. This may take years, and - since none of them are successful yet - you aren't making any money. The other way is to model the success of the top Internet marketers, but not necessarily copy ever little thing they did. Find a marketer whose products you like or whose methods are compatible with your own, and then purchase their system (if they offer one). Lay out their method, and find the steps or areas that you feel you can do well. Identify the steps or areas that you think you might have to change or even enhance with other methods you know. And then roll out your product!

Always track your ads, use variations in your ad campaign, and read your traffic reports. Use these and other metrics to fine-tune your campaign, which means also fine-tuning the system. But using a model may save you years of effort and thousands of dollars, and get you known to customers as a marketer who can offer solutions first.
