Article Marketing - The Second Step to a Prospect-Pulling Resource Box at the End of Your Articles

Article marketing on the article directories is a two fold process. In the body of the article you give - good, useable information. In the resource box you are ready to receive - the readers clicking through to your web site to become visitors, subscribers, prospects and customers.

Many people falsely believe that the resource box is the place to tell the reader all about you and your many accomplishments so they will know you are the expert.

To this notion I offer a loud and hearty NAY!

The first reason I say NAY! is because if you have not demonstrated in the article body that you are an expert, it is way too late to try to do so in the resource box, and the reader probably did not get as far as your resource box anyway.

The second reason I say NAY! is because the resource box is Not About You, hence the strongly spoken word NAY!

An invitation for THEM!

Your resource box is not the place for a virtual ego wall to tell the reader all about your accomplishments, books, and degrees, etc. In most of mine, if I mention my name at all, it is only at the very end of the resource box.

Your resource box is all about the reader and what more they can learn from you and your resources. The purpose of your resource box is to invite the reader into your world by clicking through to your web site or blog and offering them something of value that will improve their lives. Offer them something of value and you can get a very loyal and responsive new prospect.

Strategies To Reduce Your Monthly Bills

Monthly bills have you dazed and confused? This site can help save your sanity and some of your hard earned money. From credit card debt, insurance premiums, mortgage refinance and home equity loans, and transportation costs. Explains how to reduce credit card debt and where to turn in case you are over your head. If your are in serious credit card debt and are late on payments and have creditors calling, there is help available. Credit Counseling Center of America is a non profit organization that helps people reduce or eliminate unsecured debt, personal loans, and medical bills. CCCA does not loan money, the simply consolidate your loans and negotiate lower interest rates with your creditors.

Your participation in CCCA will help restore your credit rating by:

*Bringing past due accounts up to date

*Stopping creditor harassment

*Keeping payments current

*Settlement of seriously overdue and delinquent accounts

*Over-the-limit and late fees are absorbed

Another way to reduce interest charges is to take out a Home Equity loan on your house. Home Equity loans have a much lower APR thus reducing your payment. You can lengthen the term to 10 or 15 years so so you will have a very small payment. If you do this, do not charge the credit cards back up to MAX. You may also opt to take out a debt consolidation loan from your bank if you dont own a house.

Be careful of credit repair scams and credit "doctors" that claim to "repair your credit" for a fee. No one can repair credit. Negative information such as charge-offs, late pay, slow pay, abandonment and no pays can (and will) stay on your credit report for 7 years. There is no person or company that can remove this information from your credit report, except for the lenders who filed the derogatory information. A credit report cannot be changed or altered, however, bringing your accounts up to date restores your credit. You are the only person who can restore your credit, and there is never a fee for restoring your own credit.

If you budget accordingly and can make the payments or your own, or if your choose to go with a non-profit debt consolidator, be sure that you never again allow yourself to become a slave to your debts! Always pay by cash or check. If you must make a credit card purchase, write a check for the amount and send it to the credit card company the same day.

Productive Article Marketing - Discover 3 Huge Secrets to Energize Your Article Marketing

Is your click through rate not impressive at all? Are you struggling to increase your conversation rate but can't seem to drive quality traffic to your website? Then, you need to energize your article marketing campaign. Here are the 3 huge secrets to help you do just that:

1. Improve your titles. If your articles are not being clicked on, there is a huge possibility that your titles are not that impressive because they are unable to stir attention from online users. To help you out, here are the elements of a great title: It must be keyword-rich, direct to the point, intriguing, and most importantly, it must communicate the benefits that it can offer to online users because people would like to know upfront what's in it for them.

2. Improve your content. If your click through rate is impressive but can't seem to convert readers to potential clients, I would say improve your content. They don't click on your resource box because they probably don't think that you are an expert on your field and have valuable information to share. Make your articles highly informative and targeted to the needs and demands of your online users. Make sure that your articles are well-written and your ideas must flow well so your readers can easily understand the points you are trying to get across.

3. Improve your resource box. To increase your conversation rate, make sure that your resource box is compelling, powerful, and extremely enticing. Make use of persuasive words that can easily move your readers to check on your website. Don't forget to include your name, your areas of interest, the problems you solve, and the link to your website. I also suggest using anchor texts instead of absolute URLs because they are far more effective.

Are Meta Tags Dead?

People say that the use of meta tags are dead, a useless addition to your web site, but are they wrong? Meta tags still serve a useful purpose in every web site. Even though not all search engines utilize these tags they still hold extremely important information about your web site and it's content.

Not only do meta tags tell a search engine spider about your web site, it also provides instructions telling the spider what you would like it to do and not do.

First let's look at what meta tags tell us about your web site:

The first tag in your meta tags should be your title tag, in my opinion this is the most important tag you can control. This tag should state your company and no more then 3 key words that pertain to that page. An example of this is

<TITLE>SEO ONE, inc. Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, SEO.</TITLE>

Keyword tag should be the next in line of importance. This tag is fairly straight forward however there are rules on how many keywords you should have. The rule of thumb is around 10 but I recommend no more then 3 keywords. The reason for this is the more keywords you have the more difficult it is to keep the weighted average where it needs to be above 54%. It also becomes difficult to match the keywords in the site to the keyword meta tags. An example of this meta tag is

<META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, SEO.">

The 3rd in succession should be your description tag, in this tag we want to describe the web page we are on, and again we have another opportunity to list our 3 key words for this page. This is important do not over look this. It is also critical to keep the order the keywords appear. An example of this tag is

<META NAME="DESCRIPTION" CONTENT="SEO ONE, Inc has mastered the search engine <a href=http://beautyweightloss.com/turbulence-training/why-cardio-doesnt-work-for-fat-loss/>optimization</a> code. Search engine optimization SEO is the art of preparing, analyzing, and promoting your web site so that it is extremely visible and highly ranked. Search Engine Optimization, Internet Marketing, SEO.">

Now we are onto the part of the tags that tell the search engine what you would like for it to do with your web site. These tags are also critical as we can in some cases direct the spider through your web pages.

<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="INDEX, FOLLOW, ARCHIVE, all">

This tag tells the search engine you would like it to visit your home page, follow all linked pages, and cashes all pages it passes through. This is important because it allows the engine to store your site in it's data base.

<META NAME="revisit-after" CONTENT="7 days">

In this tag we tell the spider to come back to our web site every 7 days to search for more content. As a web page changes the content needs to be re indexed in order for it to be relevant. This tag can help us with this point.

There are many more tags, and more detailed information about the tags above, however I only wanted to give a general overview as to the importance of the above tags.

Sizzling Idea Hangouts For Article Marketers

No matter what kind of article writer you are, finding new ideas for articles is always a challenge. Well, here are some resources to help you accelerate your topic research:

Authority sites

Think Entrepreneur for the business niche, About for all topics, and the Warrior forum for the Internet marketing niche! There's always authority sites, no matter what topic you are writing about. So go use that wonderful tool called Google to find these sites if you are writing about a totally new 'alien' topic.

Blogs

Find some cool ideas from niche blogs and run with them. Respected authors and Internet gurus often post some informative content on their blogs. I'm not asking you to plagiarize their content, not at all! But find some ideas you can spin article topics out of.

Yahoo Answers

This is an absolutely great tool for finding out your target market's problems. Just imagine, people are asking questions to their problems here! They actually took the time to type out a question in this site because they want a solution fast. Take a look at what kind of burning questions are being asked and write articles on them. If you go through Yahoo Answers for just 15 minutes, I'd bet you can come up with half a dozen article ideas right there.

And of course the article directories themselves. How could we forget them? These directories are a goldmine for quality articles. Don't copy the topics, but perhaps find some ways to create your own article topics just by browsing through the categories.

4 Priceless Article Marketing Secrets That Will Help You To Make Money Online

I remember when I first started using article marketing I definitely was not getting the results that I wanted. Immediately I had a concern that this technique was one of many that gurus would promote that actually did not work.

However, by tweaking a few things I was able to considerably increase my results. I would like to share these with you in this article.

1) Write in an informative and very personal style

What I found after testing all the different things that I did articles that gave a lot of valuable information and those that also had a personal story got a lot more clicks to my website. So if you are writing in a cold and impersonal way I immediately suggest that you change your style of writing.

2) Track and test different resource boxes

Your resource box must be your 30 second elevator pitch. I remember when I first started out I was not getting that many hits to my site. Immediately when I included a resource box with my compelling and unique 30 second elevator pitch my results increased dramatically.

3) Drive all your traffic to a squeeze page

The most important thing is that you build your own business and maximize your efforts. Also by building your list you can build a relationship with your subscribers and improve your conversions. You also get the opportunity to market over and over again to them without it costing you anything.

4) Consistency is the key

Article marketing will not work over night. You need to do 10 to 20 articles every day for a long period of time. In this time you will gain valuable links to your website and increase your search engine rankings. You will also benefit from the articles that get published on other websites.

7 Benefits of Article Marketing

Many business owners spend lots of time trying to get articles published in magazines and publications related to their niche. While this is one strategy, publishing articles online has, as I have discovered from personal experience a number of specific benefits.

1. You set the schedule

Articles can be submitted any time you like. The article banks are open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. As a result you get to submit articles when it is convenient for you rather than being constrained by publishing deadlines.

2. Speed

Articles submitted to article banks are available to readers immediately. In those cases where there is a review process, it is normally completed in a few days. This means that if you wanted to you could have 5 or 10 articles on an article bank within a week.

3. Perception

When you start to publish articles online you start to build a reputation as an expert or authority on particular topics.

4. Web site traffic

Article banks generally allow you to include a short description of your business and a link back to your web-site which helps you get more web site visitors.

5. List building

Most people who have a web site are selling either products, services or both. When people come to your site having read your article, you can capture their details in return for offering a free e-course or report. These subscribers can become future customers or sources of referral.

6. Search engine rankings

I don't claim to be anything other than someone with basic knowledge of search engines. What I have learned that backward links help with how your web site is ranked by search engines. Articles are an excellent source of backward links.

7. Others use your articles

Since I started using article marketing, I have had a number of approaches from other sites wanting to use my articles. This helps build more exposure for me and my business and can do the same for you.

Clearly there are many ways in which you can market your business and if you enjoying writing and sharing your knowledge, article marketing could be a valuable part of your marketing strategy.

Article Marketing - Is This a Good Way to Reach Niche Decision Makers

Article marketing is actually one of my favorite ways to reach three different (although possibly overlapping groups of people: 1) people who exist in competitive markets where the cost of advertising is high 2) niche customers who are hard to pin down and find and 3) people who are buyers, not search engine-aholics.

Why does article marketing work so well for all these groups?

I think it is because all of these groups are so difficult to reach through the traditional mediums and yet with article marketing every article is the same. That is, controlling for things like strength of the title, and the article directory or web site to which you submit the article, all articles are equal.

And one of the things that keeps the market so open is that it cannot be reasonably automated you cannot create a machine to do the article writing for you. And because of this, and because most people seem to want to automate things it is easier and easier to stand out if you are article marketing at least that is my opinion.

One of the best ways to target a specific group of people like business decision makers is to write articles that are specifically targeted to the types of topics that would appeal to business decision makers.

So the first step would be to brainstorm, what types of articles would be of interest to business decision makers? Once you have that, info, the rest is a piece of cake write the articles, and the traffic will come. Remember, article marketing produces some of the highest quality leads around.

Article Marketing and Some Guidelines to Crafting an Engaging Resource Box

Ranking good at search engines through requires two important factors. These are:

1. Valuable, regularly updated and Search Engine friendly content.

2. And the quantity and quality of links, preferably one-way, pointing back to your website.

Search Engines tend to rank websites with higher number of incoming links (links found at other web pages that would direct clicks to your web site). To Search Engines, a well-linked web site has more value than those with less or none at all.

One way increase your web site's incoming links is through article marketing. It is a marketing strategy that has been more popular in its online advertising form. In article marketing, the marketer provides valuable information on a certain niche in the form of articles. These articles are then freely distributed to different article directories. The author or company would then gain authority or have their expertise make known within the market that they are operating.

Entrepreneurs and companies distribute articles about their business, generally because they:

* Want to establish themselves as experts in the specific niche that they are conducting business on,

* Feel the need to offer free and valuable information to the their targeted market, and

* Need to advertise their website, product, and/or service.

Article Marketing entails time and knowledge or money. Having the money, and not so much time or having poor English, a company or professional could choose to hire a ghostwriter who would be willing to give up copyright of their work for a price. Businesses owners/ professionals could also opt to do the writing themselves if they lack the money. Or it could also work with the combination of the factors given depending on what suits the entrepreneur best.

The key to getting articles accepted by the directories are quality content, no advertisement in the article body and no links or if any, just those directed to helpful resources. You also have to work on a resource box that urges the reader to take action to gain business leads.

The success of writing an article for distribution on the World Wide Web is not limited to the excellent writing of the entrepreneur or a hired ghostwriter, it also needs a compelling Author Resource. The Resource box is article component where the reader is urged to take action. This makes the article resource a very vital tool in article marketing.

To craft a Resource Box to capture readers' interest, here are some pointers:

1. Brand your name. Writing in the third person, introduce the name or your company. Information about who you are should be enclosed in the first sentence of your resource.

2. Speak of your 'expertise'. Relate relevant experiences, years working in the field, past occupations, awards achieved, etc. Any truthful statement of credibility is well acknowledged.

3. Try offering something for free. If you have other free info products or materials that establish your expertise, this would be the best place to distribute these.

4. Call to action. Include anything that would prompt the reader to go further like 'Please visit mysite.com' or 'Click here to subscribe', etc. Not having these action words would make you miss out on a whole lot of clicks.

Article Marketing - Where to Submit Your Articles

What is Article Marketing?

In its simplest form, article marketing is a type of advertising through which a business writes short articles related to its respective industry. Once written, the business makes these articles freely available for distribution and publication in the marketplace. Each article contains a 'bio box' and 'by-line' which include references and contact information for the author's business. Well written content articles released for free distribution have the potential of gaining the author business credibility within his or her market, as well as new clients.*

It is easy to see the value of article marketing, if you understand that each time the article is published, you get free backlinks from your author box. The articles are not likely to get published on PR 9 sites, but a hundred links from PR 0-5 sites can build your PageRank. The more articles you publish, the more links you get.

How to Publish Your Articles?

There are some, who think you should only submit your articles to a few of the best article directories. They usually argue that 1. doing otherwise is only a waste of time, or 2. submitting the same article to more directories increases the amount of duplicate content, and makes your article rank even worse in search engines.

Now, on 1. I agree: you should not waste your time with low traffic article indexes, but submit to any that you think will benefit you. I have compiled a list of the most important ones for you below. On 2. however, I must totally disagree. The articles, if successful, will be published identical on a number of sites. Submitting to more directories only helps publishers find them, search engines are not going to ban the content any more than otherwise. Besides, I see backlinks as the most important use of articles, and submitting to directories always gives at least one link. Secondary traffic through articles coming up in search engines is only a bonus.

Where to Submit Them?

1. ArticleMarketer.com

They send your article out to publishers on their list. Submission to the complete publisher list is a paid service, but you can submit to the partial list with a free account. The only problem I have with Article Marketer is that they do not show the exposure information to free publishers.

2. EzineArticles.com

The largest directory with the most authors. You can get a free account with 10 submissions. Submit good articles and you may get a platinum account with unlimited submissions.

3. ArticleCodex.com

A newer and smaller directory, but Article Codex offers Revenue Sharing. You enter your AdSense publisher id, and your ads are shown on 50% of page loads on your articles. Profit while marketing your website. Articles are quickly accepted, unless they fail some formatting test.

4. ArticlesBase.com

Not very different from all the other article directories out there, but submission is easy, and articles get accepted easily. They have accepted all my articles without modification, and in just a couple of days.

Article Submission Software - Do They Really Work?

There are probably dozens of article submission software in the market nowadays such as Article Post Robot, Article Submitter, Artemis Pro, Article Announcer and so on. These software are built to submit your articles to hundreds of free article directories. But the questions I kept hearing over at article marketing forums and blogs are whether these article submission software really work and whether you can get penalized for duplicate content.

Personally, I have used quite a number of article submission software and services to submit my articles to the directories. The truth is they do work well in a few ways. I have written hundreds of articles and for each article, I will submit them to hundreds of free article directories using my software. Just what are the effects and benefits?

For each article submitted to the directories, all it takes is a few hours semi-automatic or automatic submission. I compared this to the amount of time I used to spend submitting manually and that is a huge difference. I managed to cut my time by more than 90%. Not only so, after checking Google about 2 to 3 days later, I start to see quite a number of backlinks coming from these articles to my website. A lot of these articles get indexed quickly within the next week or so and soon, I have more than a few hundred backlinks for my website from article directories.

Having checked the traffic logs, I realized that using these article submission software not only gets me more organic traffic from the search engines, some of the traffic are coming from article directories as well as other related websites that picked up my articles. So in other words, I am getting both organic traffic as a result of my increased link popularity, and inorganic traffic from visitors at the article directories, articles that are indexed in the search engines and traffic from related websites.

But my experience is that some article submission software are built using more intelligent engines. To quote an example, some software simply cannot do a good job of posting to the correct article category. That is the biggest headache for me but I quickly realized it and switched to those which are smart enough to recognize which category to submit my articles under. Since then, it has worked well for me.

What about duplicate content from submitting the same article to hundreds of article directories using article submission software? Well, the duplicate content filter does kicks in eventually after a month or two, but you will realize that in the long run, on average 30 to 60% of the articles still remain indexed so you still get a fair bit of traffic and link popularity from there. To me, it is fair since I am saving tons of time that I can use to write more articles.

Discover some cool article marketing tips and read up a review I have done on features, effectiveness, deliverability and affordability of the different article submission software article marketers are using.

Breakthrough Article Marketing - Discover 3 Key Secrets to Jumpstart Your Article Marketing

Nervous about starting your article marketing campaign? Don't be! Because technically, you have got nothing to lose in this technique. So long as you know how to produce quality articles or you have the resources to pay somebody to do it for you, you will surely rise above the rest. Here are the 3 key secrets to jumpstart your article marketing:

1. Do your research. What are the topics to write about? Well, the best topics for you are those that concern your potential clients and are relevant to the products or services you offer. Some of the best article marketers go to forums and they communicate to their potential buyers. Through this, marketers will get an idea about the pressing issues that their customers are facing. Then, they create articles based on the data they gathered and present their products as solution. This is a foolproof method in making sure that your articles are targeted to your chosen niche.

2. Consider some important elements when writing your articles. This is to make sure that your articles will be accepted by most publishing sites. Make sure that you don't use too many keywords or your articles will be rejected for keyword abuse. Also, make your articles at least 250 words and ensure that all links on your resource box are working. Lastly, never insert hyperlinks on the body of your articles. This is one of the common reasons why articles are rejected by publishing sites.

3. Write articles that are easy to understand. Your success in article marketing will largely depend on how well your readers can understand you. So make it a point that you make it easier for them to digest the information you are presenting. To do this, you can use various formats like questions and answer, how-tos, and numbered list when presenting your ideas.

Article Marketing - Write for Quality or Quantity?

This is a question that is floating around many article marketing and internet marketing forums and it is very hard to find a clear answer. Should you be writing articles for quality or concentrating on quantity? Read on to find out if article marketing is better with quality articles or the quantity of articles.

Let us look at the quality of articles first. Writing for quality will allow you to create unique content that readers will want to finish reading and will be helped by your article. When you write for quality content you are looking to help your reader, but you have to be careful to leave them wanting more or you will lose out on what you are really after, which is traffic to your website.

So, now that we have mentioned a little about traffic let us move on to writing a quantity of articles. When you write articles for quantity you are looking to drive traffic to your website. You are trying to drive as much traffic as possible to your websites and you are not as concerned with how good the articles are. This is a type of writing that allows you to pump out articles like a machine. They are usually very much structured around keywords and you are more concerned about your ranking on search engines than how good your writing is.

Which one is better, Quality or Quantity? The best answer to this question is that you should combine the two methods. Never write specifically for quantity because your readers will not want to read your articles, therefore, they probably will not finish them and click to your website. You do not want to get too caught up with the quality though because you don't want to spend hours upon hours on each article.

Make sure you write for your readers and give them something that they want. Answer a burning question, give them a handful of good tips, or define something that needs to be defined. If you don't give your readers anything they won't read the entire article and won't click through to your site. You also have to make sure you leave them wanting more so that they will click through to your website.

Writing for quality is a good way to create good articles, but you need to also write for quantity because it is a numbers game and the more quality articles you have out there the better chances you will have to create a ton of traffic. So combine quality and quantity writing in your article marketing and you will see better success than just writing a few articles that are very good or putting out a ton of junk articles.

Link Building Strategies

Everyone now wants good organic search results for their business. There are many factors in this equation for online success. In this paper I will be covering ways of gaining more inbound links. The importance of the websites linking to you. The quality of your inbound links as well as some link building tools that you can use on your own.

Gaining more inbound links.

Link popularity is one of the ways search engines determine how much of a authority you are on the Internet. Think of a website linking to you as a vote. The more votes you have the more popular you are. It is not only that a website is linking to you, but also the importance of the website linking to you.

What do I mean by this?

If I have whitehouse.gov linking to me, this is huge. If I also have mom and pops dairy store linking to me this does not carry as much weight with the search engines. Its like saying "I have a letter of recommendation from the President of the United States" versus saying "Joe at the tire shop sent me." Do you see my point?

The goal is to find quality link partners.

One method of doing this is using Google. For instance when I research on the Internet and want to find out who is linking to a particular site I type this into the Google search field:

Type this: link:www.examplewebsite.com Then hit ENTER

Google responds to my query with something similat to this:

Results 1 - 10 of about 15 for link: www.examplewebsite.com

Then Google will list all the websites linking to www.examplewebsite.com!

Why is this beneficial? You can analyze what links your competiton has. I then create an Excel workbook and get usefull information from there sites like email addresses and contact information and then send them a email asking if they would like to exchange links. With my website information.

Nine time out of ten the answer is yes. As I was saying earlier look for quality links, quality sites and websites related to your field.

You can also purchase links online from several companies. If you visit their website you can see that purchasing links with a high PR value can be expensive.

What is PR value? This is how Google calculates the importance of the website. There are hudreds of variables they use to calculate this value.

Just do a search on Google for "purchasing links"

There are several tools availiable online to help you automate this process, some can even recommend more link partners for you!

The above steps if followed correctly will result in more trafic to your website and better rankings over time. Dont give up.

Good luck with your link building campaigns!
